This Compact Shaper from Laguna is already regarded as best in class. Impressive precision fence and wide-range RPM make it a versatile investment for any pro. The fit and finish on this world class machine is incredible. You will be hard pressed to find a better value than the Compact Shaper: 4 speeds, generous sized table, wheels built right in. Easy spindle lock makes tool changes a snap. One of the most impressive features is the speed change. A simple pull of a handle compresses the distance from the spindle to the pulley, changing speeds along the way. Another outstanding detail is the flat poly-groove belt which transfers more power with less vibration; something you won't find in this price range anywhere else.
